Maclagan Prize PhD Scholarships 2017/18

The J Kenyon Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and Law will offer two Maclagan Prize Scholarships to students wishing to pursue a PhD under the auspices of the Institute.

The topic of the PhD research project must be within the broad areas and themes of the Mason Institute – that is, ethical, legal, social and political implications and impacts of new technologies and practices in medicine and the life sciences, which are likely to have an ever greater and deeper impact on the everyday lives of individuals, groups and societies. Please note this can be in ANY related discipline – not solely law. Scholarships can be awarded to those who have already completed Masters work, including those who are completing and LLM or MSc (or equivalent) and are intending to apply for a PhD in the relevant school.

It is expected that the successful candidates will begin their studies in the academic year 2017/18, that is, either in September 2017 or January 2018. Alternative commencement dates are possible on good cause shown.
