‘Should the UK government change the current policy for childhood immunisation?’

In contrast with other countries, there is no legal obligation in the UK for parents to immunise their children against certain diseases. Rather, it is a matter of parental choice.

The Mason Institute warmly invites you to attend the Great Medico-Legal Debate 2018. Debate rivals, Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, will consider issues of human rights and public health arising over changes to childhood immunisation policy.

The debate is being held at the University of Edinburgh on 20 February 2018 during the University of Edinburgh’s Festival of Creative Learning Week (19-23 February 2018). The Mason Institute is providing prearranged transportation from Glasgow for University of Glasgow staff and students to attend the debate.

A reception will immediately follow the debate and at approximately 20:30 the coach will return to Glasgow.

Full details of the event, including  how to register as a debate team member, can be found here.
