As part of the Festival of Creative Learning, we are delighted to invite you to join us at our event The Dissection of Medical Dramas. This event is a fun and interactive workshop that will use popular television medical dramas and role-play to tease out and discuss ethical issues that arise in the medical context with the aim of enhancing the audience’s understanding of the issues. By the end of the workshop, the audience members will become better familiarised with the key concepts and frameworks in the medico-legal field, such as, consent, autonomy, paternalism as well as being able to recognise the key cases in these areas in the UK.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 19th February 2019 at 11:00 am – 12:45 pm in Room 4.3 Lister Learning and Teaching Centre. The event is supported by the Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and the Law, a research network based at the University of Edinburgh. The Mason Institute provides internationally-recognised academic research and policy leadership at the interface between medicine, life sciences and the law.

The event is free, but ticketed. Please book your place online at: https://www.festivalofcreativelearning.ed.ac.uk/event/dissection-medical-dramas

We look forward to see you at the venue!
