Graeme Laurie (high res TIFF for publications)Graeme Laurie is Professor of Medical Jurisprudence at the University of Edinburgh and Founding Director of the JK Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and the Law. He is the recipient of a Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator Award in Medical Humanities for a project entitled Confronting the Liminal Spaces of Health Research Regulation. He previously served as Director of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Research Centre for Studies in Intellectual Property and Technology Law – also known as SCRIPT – from 2007-2011 until he took up the position of Director of Research for the School of Law. His own research interests include the role of law in promoting and regulating science, medicine and technology.

Within the Mason Institute Executive, Graeme is responsible for the Teaching Portfolio and the Communications Portfolio (together with Annie McGeechan).
